On November 26, 2024, the KISS project partner from Spain, La Brújula, Formación Inclusiva, held a successful dissemination event at FEGRADI (Federación Granadina de personas con discapacidad) in Granada, Spain. The event focused on the employment of visually impaired persons and was part of the Erasmus+ KISS: intro 2 AT 4 VIPs project, which aims to enhance employment opportunities for visually impaired persons.
The event began with participant registration from 10:00 to 10:30, followed by an opening ceremony and welcome address from 10:30 to 11:00. Attendees were then introduced to the KISS project, highlighting its objectives and achievements.
After a brief coffee break from 11:30 to 12:00, the main session featured the presentation of the Online Handbook on the Employment of Visually Impaired Persons. This handbook serves as a valuable resource for employers and stakeholders, providing practical guidance and best practices for integrating visually impaired persons into the workforce.
The event also included a session for reflections and discussions with disability experts from 13:00 to 13:30. This interactive segment allowed participants to share insights and explore key aspects of employment that could improve labor market insertion for visually impaired persons.
The event concluded with a closing ceremony from 13:30 to 14:00, leaving attendees with a positive outlook on the project’s impact and future initiatives.
Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the comprehensive and informative nature of the presentations. The event successfully raised awareness about the importance of inclusive employment practices and provided valuable networking opportunities for all involved.
We look forward to continuing our efforts to support visually impaired persons and enhance their employment prospects through the KISS project.
