We are pleased to announce the successful completion of our pilot testing of 9 videos created as part of the Erasmus+ KISS: Intro 2 AT 4 VIPs project, which took place on Saturday, June 7, 2025 in Okroglo, Slovenia. This milestone marks a significant step in promoting the use of assistive technology to enhance accessibility and support visually impaired persons in their everyday and work-related activities.
Collaborative Efforts for Quality and Individualized Support
To ensure the highest standards of quality, comprehensive support, and a tailored approach for all participants, we collaborated with our esteemed Slovenian project partners from MDSS Kranj. Through this partnership, we were able to make all nine assistive tools available to participants from Croatia and Slovenia, fostering inclusivity and accessibility across borders.
Engaging Learning Experience with Cutting-Edge Assistive Tools
The pilot testing not only provided an opportunity to evaluate the effectiveness of the videos but also created an engaging learning environment where participants could explore innovative assistive technologies. The event reinforced the importance of utilizing these tools to simplify daily tasks and improve work efficiency of visually impaired. Among all the assistive technologies tested, the Foxy Reader emerged as the most popular solution, impressing users with its capabilities.
Next Steps: Online Video Presentations
To further enhance awareness and accessibility, we will soon release a series of online video presentations in 4 languages (English, Spanish, Slovenian and Croatian) showcasing the functionalities of Foxy Reader and other assistive tools. These videos will serve as valuable resources for visually impaired seeking guidance on how to integrate assistive technologies into their personal and professional lives.
Gratitude and Commitment to Innovation
We extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who participated and supported us throughout this important phase. Your engagement and enthusiasm drive our commitment to continuous innovation and improvement in the field of assistive technology.
Stay tuned for our upcoming video presentations, and together, let’s embrace technology as a powerful tool for greater accessibility and independence.
